Kindergarten Information 2013-2014
Welcome to Kindergarten!
If you are new to Gorham and want to know which school your child will attend, please go to gorhamschools.org/transportation/ or call the Transportation Office at 893-2547. Gorham has a half-day K program and your childÃs session is based on your home address.
If s/he will be attending Narragansett School, you will need to register him/her. You can do that by stopping by the school office after August 12th. Mrs. Hawkes will give you a packet of information that you will need to fill out. Please bring the childÃs original birth certificate.
In Gorham, school begins for kindergarten, grade six, and grade nine as an Orientation Day, which will be on August 28th. Parents bring their kindergarten child to school for a short program.
- For AM kindergarten, please come from 9:00-9:45.
- For PM kindergarten, please come from 11:00-11:45.
(yes, that is also in the morning!)
We will be making sure we have your correct bus information, and you will be hearing about the K day from Mrs. Wright, while your child has a short bus ride and visits the playground.
The first day of school for K-12 will be on August 29th.
No school on the 30th for the Labor Day weekend.
No school on Monday, September 2nd, Labor Day.
School resumes on Tuesday, September 3rd.
